Introduction We will make a full day visit to two wineries in the wine region of Lisbon, explore the vineyards and varieties, learn about the process of making wine and finally we will have two commented wine tastings (4 whites and 5 reds and 1 rosé) . Between the visit to the cellars, lunch will be at an authentic Portuguese restaurant that will surely be one of the best meals of your vacation. We still have time to visit the National Palace of Mafra (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Description After the first wine experience in the magnificent Adega Mae, and because it is lunch time, we will enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant, specialized in grilled fish, it will certainly be one of the best gastronomic experiences of your trip.
After lunch we head to the small village of Cheleiros where we will visit the second winery of the day, passing through Mafra and its main landmark, the Mafra National Palace, built by D. João V in the 18th century. An impressive sight of grandeur and grandeur.

The visit begins with the history of the village and the importance of this wine project in this old and small community, followed by an explanation about the production process and ending in the barrel room (an old remodeled school). The visit could not end without the long-awaited tasting of 6 wines (3 reds and 2 whites and 1 rosé), including the monovarietal Jampal, a unique variety in Portugal and in the world. The tasting is paired with bread and olive oil. We will end the visit with a short walk around the village and visit the medieval bridge of Cheleiros, built over an old Roman bridge.
